The Devon self-storage company, Your Super Storage, has expanded and opened a fourth site in the county, with help from leading UK asset finance provider, Ignition.
With three existing storage sites in and around Teignmouth and Totnes, demand for the company’s secure and convenient high-security storage units is continuing to rise, leading to the opening of a fourth site in Galmpton earlier this month.
Truro-based Ignition provides financial support to SMEs via commercial loans for specific business purposes, or by financing a wide range of business assets including vehicles, machinery and equipment. It was able to assist Your Super Storage with finance for 22 new storage units for the new site, worth £65,000.
Managing Director, Andy Bolt, founded Your Super Storage after initially leaving the building trade in 2008 to become a ‘man with a van’ doing delivery work and house clearances, and subsequently launching his own removal company, Devon & Dorset Removals, in 2011. It was while undertaking removals he identified a growing demand amongst house movers for affordable and accessible self-storage solutions.
Andy opened his first site in Riverview Quarry, Totnes, with 10 storage containers, which were almost immediately filled and six more added. From there, he approached Ignition for support in financing a second site at Broadmeadow Lane in Teignmouth in 2017, and subsequently opened a third site in Steamer Quay in Totnes during the covid pandemic, filling all 21 new containers within just 8 weeks. The opening of the Galmpton site brings his total number of storage units to 179, with demand still growing.

Your Super Storage units are large metal containers lined with integrated air vents and Grafo-therm anti-condensation coating to help keep belongings in good condition. Two sizes are offered, one suitable for the contents of a one-bedroom property, and a larger size for the contents of an average three-bedroom house. All sites boast excellent lighting, comprehensive CCTV surveillance, and are securely locked, with customers provided with security codes so they can access their belongings at any time.
