Truro-based Ignition, a leading provider of vehicle and asset finance for UK SMEs, is welcoming a new Business Development Manager, Alistair Scadden, to help strengthen its reach across the South West.
Ignition offers finance for a wide range of assets from plant and machinery to vehicles and business equipment, either using its own funds or via joint trading relationships with a panel of major finance houses. The company has grown substantially since its acquisition by STAR Capital Partners last year.
Alistair who is originally from Greenock in the West of Scotland, has a wealth of experience in the finance sector, having worked in banks in both Scotland and the South West for more than 35 years. He’s an active member of the business community in Somerset, most recently working as Senior Business Manager at NatWest Bank PLC in Bridgwater for the last 11 years.
In his new role at Ignition, Alistair will be based in Weston-super-Mare, supporting businesses across Somerset and North Somerset, and into Bristol, helping Ignition further extend its reach across the South West region. He comments:
